Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the chicken filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined and creamy.
Transfer to baking dish:
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Make the cracker topping:
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter until well coated. Evenly sprinkle the buttery crackers over the casserole.
Bake:
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly around the edges.
Garnish and serve:
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
